Das Party.San Metal Open Air präsentiert jährlich im August eine ordentliche Portion Metal, im Besonderen aus den Stilrichtungen Black-, Thrash-, Death Metal und Grindcore. Mit Premiere 1996 fand das Festival auf dem Segelflugplatz Bad Berka bis 2010 statt. Seit 2011 findet das Festivalauf dem Flugplatz Obermehler-Schlotheim zwischen Mühlhausen und Sondershausen statt.

Party.San Metal Open Air is Germany´s biggest Extreme Metal festival which is mainly supporting Death/Black/Thrash/Doom and Grindcore music.
