\"Kyle<\/a>Am letzten Wochenende\u00a0 im April fand in Belgien traditionsgem\u00e4\u00df dass von Hardcore und Punk Fans geliebte Groezrock Festival<\/a> statt – hier ist unser Bericht zu lesen<\/a>. \u00a0Gegen 14Uhr am ersten Festivaltag wurden Rick und ich buchst\u00e4blich mit offenen Armen von Kyle Profeta, dem Drummer der Band Comeback Kid <\/a><\/strong>empfangen, mit dem wir ein Interview geplant hatten.<\/p>\n

Wir waren schon ein wenig aufgeregt, da es unser erstes \u201eechtes\u201c Interview werden sollte, doch sobald Kyle uns entdeckt hatte und sich mit einem breiten Grinsen unserem Tisch im VIP Bereich n\u00e4herte, fiel alle Nervosit\u00e4t von uns ab und konnten wir entspannt unsere Fragen stellen.<\/p>\n

First of all congratulations with the bands 10th anniversary. It\u2019s a great accomplishment! So to celebrate that, Scott (ex-front man) is touring with you this year. How is that going?<\/b><\/p>\n

Thank You! It\u2019s going amazing! We\u2019re having so much fun and it\u2019s just such a different dynamic for us. It is so nice to spend time with him again, especially for me cause I rarely see him. Just play all these old songs and feel young.<\/p>\n

You inspired many bands in the Hardcore scene.\u00a0 So we were wondering what inspires you guys?<\/b><\/p>\n

I grew up listening to a lot of Punk Rock. Drumming-wise I was inspired by The Vandals <\/a>and The Descendents.<\/p>\n

As a band for Comeback Kid\u2026 Me, Andrew and Jeremy do the majority of the writing, we all have some sort of different taste but it all just comes together. If you wanna go down the Hardcore Road it\u2019s definitely bands like Madball <\/a>and Sick Of It All<\/a>. Andrew\u2019s favorite band of all time is Madball. On the other hand Jeremy is\/used to be a metal head. He even had long black hair when he was 19 years old. Then he decided \u201c you know what? I\u2019m going bald \u201c haha<\/b><\/p>\n

You guys are working on a new album\u2026 What can we expect?<\/b><\/p>\n

Right now we\u2019re in the early stages and we\u2019re having about four or five songs that we\u2019re working on. It\u2019s coming along pretty heavy but there\u2019s definitely going to be some melody in there. I guess we never really know what we\u2019re gonna come up with.<\/p>\n

It kinda feels like we\u2019re taking our last album \u201cSymptoms And Cures\u201d and we are progressing from that.\u00a0 We were just really happy about that record and we felt that the broadcasting was like finding ourselves in this new line-up with Andrew singing. So we keep that in mind while working on our new record.<\/p>\n

You have been touring a lot over the last ten years. Do you notice any difference between festivals in Europe and anywhere else?<\/b><\/p>\n

Yeah, for example festivals in North America are NOWHERE NEAR this cool. I mean there\u2019s a reason bands fly out here every year and do these festivals in Europe. It\u2019s just a good time, lots of people come out to support you and it\u2019s good for your band.<\/p>\n

In North America there\u2019s Warped Tour so it can be cool but sometimes you are up there on stage and no one actually gives a damn. When you come over here, everybody is so passionate and your hard work really pays off. That\u2019s why bands keep coming back playing these festivals and they just keep getting bigger and bigger.<\/p>\n

If I lived out here I would be at Groezrock every year with my tent in the fucking grass, partying with everybody because I think this is the BEST FESTIVAL EVER!<\/p>\n

How are the long trips on the tour bus? Does anyone have any nasty habits?<\/b><\/p>\n

No, not really\u2026 Well, I\u2019m trying to quit smoking. Sorry mom! (my mom doesn\u2019t even know I smoke) We have such a good vibe going on while touring and there is no negativity at all.<\/p>\n

Are there any bands you want to see at Groezrock today?<\/b><\/p>\n

Yes! We\u2019ve done a couple of tours with Rise Against <\/a>and they always sound amazing! So I really want to check them out tonight. I\u2019d like to catch the A Wilhelm Scream<\/a> set after these interviews. They are some of my best friends and always fun to watch.<\/p>\n
