Das vom 10.-12. Juli 2009<\/strong> steigende Festival l\u00e4sst sich zwar nicht auf eine bestimmte Musikrichtung festlegen, die einzelnen Bands aber schon eher. So wird wird die US- amerikanische Rockband<\/strong> The Killers<\/a> das Oxegen 2009<\/a> headlinen!<\/p>\n

Das Oxegen<\/a> ist mit 50-60.000 Besuchern<\/strong> eines der gr\u00f6\u00dften Festivals in Irland. Das bisher best\u00e4tigte LineUp liest sich wie folgt: Bloc Party<\/a>, Blur<\/a>, Elbow<\/a>, Katy Perry<\/a>, Kings of Leon<\/a>, Pete Doherty<\/a>, Snow Patrol<\/a>, The Killers<\/a>, The Script<\/a><\/p>\n

Einige der Bands schwimmen gerade auf der Welle des Erfolges. So wurden vorgestern bei den BRIT Awards<\/strong> Elbow<\/a> als „Best British group“<\/strong> und Katy Perry<\/a> „Best International female solo artist“<\/strong> ausgezeichnet. Die Kings of Leon<\/a> wurden gleich in zwei Kategorien ausgezeichnet, als „Best International group“<\/strong> und ihr letztes Jahr erschienenes Album „Only by the Night“ wurde als „Best International album“<\/strong> ausgezeichnet. Katy Perry<\/a> ist ausserdem bei der morgen<\/em><\/strong> stattfindenden Echo Verleihung 2009<\/a> in der Kategorie „Hit des Jahres“<\/strong> nominiert. Ein ausgezeichnetes <\/em><\/strong>Festival erwartet alle Besucher – und das nicht nur aufgrund der genannten Bands: Das Oxegen 2008<\/strong> wurde mit dem Best European Festival-Award 2008<\/strong> ausgezeichnet.<\/p>\n

Die Irish Times<\/strong> verk\u00fcndete ausserdem „<\/strong>Pete Doherty<\/a> spielt am Oxegen<\/strong>„. Demnach macht der Frontmann der Babyshambles<\/strong> Station beim Oxegen Festival. Wahrscheinlich kommt er allein mit seinem Soloalbum – die Times lies allerdings offen, ob er nicht vielleicht doch mit den\u00a0Babyshambles<\/a><\/strong> <\/strong>kommt. Pete Doherty hatte letzte Woche best\u00e4tigt, dass ein Veranstalter ihm 1-2 Millionen Pfund f\u00fcr eine Reunion geboten hatte. Sein Partner Carl Barat <\/strong>lehnte dies aber ab.<\/p>\n
