Die legend\u00e4re Pyramid Stage<\/strong> bekommt einen Headliner<\/strong>, den die Glastonbury<\/a>-Fans schon gern letztes Jahr gesehen h\u00e4tten: die irischen Rocklegenden<\/strong> U2<\/a> werden am Freitag<\/strong>, den 24.06. das Glastonbury Festival 2011<\/a> bespielen.<\/p>\n

Dabei befinden sie sich in bester Superstar-Gesellschaft: Samstag<\/strong>, den 25.06. werden Coldplay<\/a>, und Sonntag<\/strong>, den 26.06. Beyonce<\/a> headlinen (wir berichteten<\/a>)<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Zum Glastonbury 2010<\/a> mussten U2 ihren Auftritt aufgrund des Gesundheitszustands von S\u00e4nger Bono<\/strong> leider kruzfristig absagen<\/a>, nun freut sich die Band auf ihren Glastonbury<\/a>-Gig<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Die U2<\/a>-Best\u00e4tigung wurde gestern Abend w\u00e4rend der NME Awards<\/strong> bekannt, als die Gl\u00fcckw\u00fcnsche an Michael <\/strong>und Emily Eavis<\/strong> f\u00fcr den Best Festival award<\/strong> von U2<\/a> Gitarrist The Edge<\/strong> \u00fcbermittelt wurden.<\/p>\n

„After the disappointment of U2 being unable to play last year, we\u2019re now doubly excited at the prospect of the Friday night supergroup breaking the sound barrier.“<\/strong><\/em> – Michael Eavis<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
