Once again, Norway delivers artists of international calibre – whether you are into Autumn-tinted acoustic music or ultra-modern electro-post-punk.

THOMAS DYBDAHL (N) is one of the great Scandinavian songwriters, which he has surely proven with his October trilogy – three albums all released in October for three years in a row. Thomas Dybdahl plays slow acoustic music in the vein of Neil Young and Jeff Buckley.

120 DAYS (N) sounds like a date between Kraftwerk’s home town Düsseldorf in the 70s and Manchester in the 90s – when rock and electronics in earnest asked each other for a dance. This is post-punk for people who grew up with The Prodigy, and yet another powerful acquisition from the cold and tough Norwegian mountains.

DÚNÉ (DK) are on the rise with their ultra-energetic synth-rock. They call the genre ’indielectrock,’ their name is pronounced Dewné, and they are ready to conquer the stage at by:Larm and later at Roskilde Festival. Experience this band’s young, unimpressed charm and wonderfully unrestrained stage show at close quarters – and enjoy the youngsters’ international scope yourself.

BAND ANE (DK) and her laptop adventures have made her one of the very best electronic acts in Denmark. Her music is naïve, innocent and a bit melancholic on an immediate listen, but underneath it sparks and crackles like a young volcano. Band Ane released her debut Anish Music in 2006, and in February it earned her the Danish Steppeulven award in the category ‘Hope of the year.’
