Gilt das auch beim ersten Hurricane Festival seit Pandemie-Beginn? Nachdem es eine unserer Festivalhopper-Reporterinnen schon bei Rock im Park erwischte, brachte nun auch beim <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/festival\/hurricane-festival-2022\">Hurricane Festival<\/a> unser Festivalhopper Reporter einen positiven Covid-Test als Andenken mit nach Hause&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Wie schon bereits bei Rock am Ring gab es auch nach dem Hurricane Festival in den sozialen Netzwerken \u00e4hnliche T\u00f6ne: Viele Ansteckungen im Laufe des Wochenendes. <strong>&#8222;This is a superspreader event&#8220; sagte Brandon Flowers<\/strong> noch w\u00e4hrend des Sets von The Killers beim Hurricane Festival und grinste dabei. Dass zur \u00fcblichen Abgeschlagenheit nach 3-4 durchfeierten Festivaltagen nun auch immer mal wieder positive Covid-Tests bei Festivalr\u00fcckkehrer*innen dazukommen, wird sich wohl zun\u00e4chst in absehbarer Zeit nicht signifikant \u00e4ndern.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trotz der Quarant\u00e4ne &amp; Symptome und nicht zuletzt Dank des neu herausgebrachten Aftershow-Videos vom Hurricane Festival wird es einfach schwer werden zu widerstehen, dennoch zu Festivals zu fahren und in die Atmosph\u00e4re einzutauchen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Hurricane Festival 2022 \u2013 THE OFFICIAL AFTERMOVIE\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zclcD2Imd8o?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Martin-Garrix-Feuerwerk-2-_-Hurricane-2022.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-128881\" src=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Martin-Garrix-Feuerwerk-2-_-Hurricane-2022-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Martin-Garrix-Feuerwerk-2-_-Hurricane-2022-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Martin-Garrix-Feuerwerk-2-_-Hurricane-2022-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Martin-Garrix-Feuerwerk-2-_-Hurricane-2022.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>In zwei Jahren Pause hatte man sich beim Hurricane Festival einiges neu \u00fcberlegt: Die kleinste der B\u00fchnen und Zeltb\u00fchne &#8222;Wild Coast Stage&#8220; (ehemals White Stage) wurde vom Eichenring-Gel\u00e4nde auf die andere Stra\u00dfenseite gelegt, und damit auch das Infield substantiell vergr\u00f6\u00dfert. Auch das deutliche Gr\u00f6\u00dfenupdate der Wild Coast Stage entspannte die Einlasssituation. Teil des Konzeptes war dann auch, dass es nur eine Einlassstelle f\u00fcrs Infield gab &#8211; doch selbst dort war die Security Abdeckung dieses Jahrh\u00e4ufig ausged\u00fcnnt, sodass die Kontrollen f\u00fcrs Infield h\u00e4ufig sehr lasch waren. Immerhin konnte das Hurricane als eins der gr\u00f6\u00dften Festivals Deutschlands das Festival inmitten der unter Personalmangel st\u00f6hnenden und leidenden Branche durchf\u00fchren &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/2022\/06\/10\/puls-open-air-abgebrochen\/\">was dem PULS Open Air eine Woche zuvor leider nicht gelang<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-128886 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/K.I.Z.-2-_-Hurricane-2022-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/K.I.Z.-2-_-Hurricane-2022-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/K.I.Z.-2-_-Hurricane-2022-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/K.I.Z.-2-_-Hurricane-2022.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Was das Konzept allerdings bedeuten kann, wenn das Festival keinen Ein- und Ausgang mehr an der Red Stage hat, konnte man in Ans\u00e4tzen am Samstag beim Headliner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/bands\/karten\/deichkind.php\">Deichkind<\/a> erkennen: Vom Veranstalter FKP Scorpio wurde der Auftritt f\u00fcr ein paar Minuten unterbrochen, um eine sich versch\u00e4rfende Problematik bei den Publikumsstr\u00f6men nach Ende des <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/bands\/karten\/kiz.php\">K.I.Z.<\/a> Slots auf der Nachbarb\u00fchne unter Kontrolle zu bekommen. Auch die Besucher*innen, die nur zum Campingplatz weiter wollten, wurden schr\u00e4g an der Hauptb\u00fchne, der Forest Stage, vorbei geleitet, sodass sich ein kleiner Flaschenhalszwischen der VIP Loge und dem Deichkind Publikum ergab. Dennoch Props an das Hurricane Festival: Es erfordert Mut, eine Headliner-Show zu unterbrechen, um pr\u00e4ventiv die Situation zu entsch\u00e4rfen.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Kummer-_-Hurricane-2022-rotated-e1657128307346.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-128884 size-medium alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Kummer-_-Hurricane-2022-rotated-e1657128307346-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Kummer-_-Hurricane-2022-rotated-e1657128307346-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Kummer-_-Hurricane-2022-rotated-e1657128307346.jpg 683w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a>Auch in weiteren F\u00e4llen kam das Publikumsmanagement eng an seine Grenzen: Obwohl die Red Stage weiter nach hinten verschoben wurde, um dem Publikum mehr Platz zu lassen, war die Stage f\u00fcr <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/bands\/karten\/kummer.php\">Kummer<\/a> am Sonntag viel, viel zu klein. W\u00e4hrend sich gef\u00fchlt das gesamte Hurricane zum Kummer Auftritt verabredet hatten, stiegen Besucher*innen auf Dixies, kletterten \u00fcber Z\u00e4une und dr\u00e4ngten sich arg dicht.<\/p>\n<p>Selbst in 2020 w\u00e4re die Entscheidung, Kummer nicht auf eine gr\u00f6\u00dfere B\u00fchne zu buchen, fragw\u00fcrdig gewesen &#8211; wie stark der Kraftklub S\u00e4nger mit seinem Solo-Projekt noch gewachsen ist in den letzten zwei Jahren hat man wohl zus\u00e4tzlich untersch\u00e4tzt. Auch bei Electric Callboy war es vor der Red Stage rappel voll. Die Platzierung von K.I.Z vor dem Late Night Act <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/bands\/karten\/twenty-one-pilots.php\">Twenty One Pilots<\/a> war auch schwierig: Twenty One Pilot Fans mit Leib und Seele campten bereits morgens um 8 vor den Infield-Einl\u00e4ssen, um in der ersten Reihe stehen zu k\u00f6nnen und wurden bei K.I.Z. durch den Druck des Publikums hart auf die Probe gestellt (und reihenweise von der Security herausgezogen).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Deichkind-_-Hurricane-2022.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-128902\" src=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Deichkind-_-Hurricane-2022.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Deichkind-_-Hurricane-2022.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Deichkind-_-Hurricane-2022-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Deichkind-_-Hurricane-2022-768x513.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Insgesamt waren die zwei Jahre Festival-Abstinenz f\u00fcr viele Bands allerdings ein fruchtbarer Boden und ein Realit\u00e4tscheck im positiven Sinne: Die <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/bands\/karten\/giant-rooks.php\">Giant Rooks<\/a> konnten den gesamten Auftritt nicht so recht glauben, wie viele Menschen zu ihrem Auftritt <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Giant-Rooks-_-Hurricane-2022.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-128895 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Giant-Rooks-_-Hurricane-2022-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Giant-Rooks-_-Hurricane-2022-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Giant-Rooks-_-Hurricane-2022-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Giant-Rooks-_-Hurricane-2022.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>gekommen waren und Matthias von <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/bands\/karten\/von-wegen-lisbeth.php\">Von Wegen Lisbeth<\/a> gab zu, dass er &#8222;schon ziemlich nerv\u00f6s&#8220; sei &#8211; und dass dies das mit Abstand gr\u00f6\u00dfte Konzert sei, was die Band je gespielt habe. Auch Felix Kummer h\u00f6rte nicht auf, ungl\u00e4ubig in die riesige Menschenmenge zu schauen. Die Jungs von Deichkind waren sichtlich mehr als happy, endlich ihre ausgekl\u00fcgelte Show-Choreographie und Kost\u00fcme darbieten zu k\u00f6nnen, inkl. einer aktuellen &#8222;FCK PTN&#8220; Botschaft und <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/bands\/karten\/seeed.php\">Seeeds<\/a> Peter Fox war sich nicht mehr sicher, wie viele Orchideeng\u00e4rten er hat und startete &#8222;Hale-Bop&#8220; neu.<\/p>\n<p>Wer sind also die Gewinner des Wochenendes? Die Newcomer und Empork\u00f6mmlinge der letzten zwei Jahre zeigten allesamt wie auftrittshungrig und wie \u00fcberzeugend live und in Farbe sie sind: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/bands\/karten\/jeremias.php\">Jeremias<\/a> in der Wild Coast Stage, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/bands\/karten\/provinz.php\">Provinz<\/a> und <strong>Giant Rooks<\/strong>, aber auch <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/bands\/karten\/schmyt.php\">Schmyt<\/a> (der beim Hurricane nur mit geliehenem Equipment spielen konnte, weil seine <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Bring-Me-The-Horizon-2-_-Hurricane-2022.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-128905\" src=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Bring-Me-The-Horizon-2-_-Hurricane-2022-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Bring-Me-The-Horizon-2-_-Hurricane-2022-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Bring-Me-The-Horizon-2-_-Hurricane-2022-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Bring-Me-The-Horizon-2-_-Hurricane-2022.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>restliche Band auf der Autobahn versch\u00fctt gegangen war) brillierten. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/bands\/karten\/bring-me-the-horizon.php\">Bring Me The Horizon<\/a>, mit wohl einer der eingefleischtesten Fangemeinde im Musikbiz, \u00fcberzeugte, und ausgerechnet &#8222;Hero of War&#8220; von den Routiniers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/bands\/karten\/rise-against.php\">Rise Against<\/a> unter Eindruck des aktuellen Weltgeschehens einer der gro\u00dfen Momente des Festivals.<\/p>\n<p>Trotz insgesamt gutem, ausgewogenen Booking mit gutem H\u00e4ndchen ist das Line-Up immer noch stark m\u00e4nnerdominiert &#8211; wenn auch nicht so eindeutig wie beim Konkurrenten <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/news\/2022\/06\/06\/endlich-wieder-festivals-rock-im-park-2022\/\">Rock am Ring \/ Rock im Park<\/a>. Dass es auch anders geht, zeigte FKP Scorpio beim <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivalhopper.de\/festival\/tempelhof-sounds\">Tempehof Sounds Festival<\/a>, eine Woche zuvor, bei dem mehr Musikerinnen als Musiker auf der B\u00fchne standen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bei der Pressekonferenz am Sonntag versprach CEO Stephan Thanscheidt jedoch mehr Aufmerksamkeit f\u00fcr ein diverseres Line-Up, ebenso wie eine &#8222;zeitnahe&#8220; Bandwelle.
